What is a Hollow Core Door?

Hollow core door is not exactly hollow or empty from inside. It is basically termed hollow as it is not as strong to give full strength to the door but is strong enough to support the basic shape and structure of the door itself. Refurbishing: Refurbishing is another problem. It is not advised to do heavy sanding due to the low thickness of the hollow doors. These are not fully made of wood so can only bear light sanding as compared to the solid ones. Henceforth repairing hollow doors may not be as much easy task as to install them.

Hollow core interior doors are the best to be bought if you are looking for designs, styles, affordability, ease of availability, easy installation and serving the basic privacy. With the provision of privacy at cheap rates, the light weighted interior doors can be installed with no extra costs.

While each has its equal importance hollow core doors are the best to be utilized inside home. As interior doors as they lacks strength, thermal insulation, good refurbishing properties, sound and heat insulation. Areas of improvement includes the strength which is the main role for an exterior door to function and the difficulty in repairing where person is left with no more options itself. Permeability of sound and heat can be another problem which can be solved using solid doors in place of hollow interior doors.
